Backyard Broadcasting is a radio broadcasting company formed by BV Investment Partners in 2001 in partnership with Barry Drake to acquire high-quality radio properties in small-to-medium sized markets in the U.S.  Backyard operates in six markets: Muncie, IN; Jackson, MS; Elmira-Corning, NY; Olean, NY; Williamsport, PA; and Sioux Falls, SD. In each market, Backyard owns leading AM and FM stations that offer a variety of formats including News/Talk, Country, Adult Contemporary, Rock, and Oldies.

Barry Drake has been engaged in the management of radio and television stations for over 25 years, previously serving as President and Chief Operating Officer of Keymarket Communications, Chief Operating Officer of River City Broadcasting and Chief Executive Officer of radio and television at Sinclair Broadcast Group.  Mr. Drake graduated from Penn State in 1973.
