NorthStar publishes periodicals and produces related websites and events for the professional travel and hospitality industry.  The Company also runs a database business that includes a destination report service and a hotel review service. The Company’s publications include Travel Weekly, Meetings & Conventions, Travel Age West, Successful Meetings, Business Travel News, Incentive, and Meeting News. The Company derives the majority of its revenue from travel-related suppliers, including hotels and cruise lines. The Company’s publications, websites, and events are an essential resource for travel agents and meeting planners, a key audience for travel suppliers.

Thomas Kemp, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Thomas Kemp became Chief Executive Officer of Northstar Travel Media in January 2009. Prior to joining NorthStar, Mr. Kemp was a Managing Director at Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS), Chairman and CEO of Penton Media, and President and COO of Miller Freeman Inc.  He has been a board member of several business media companies as well as industry associations, including American Business Media and BPA International. Mr. Kemp received his BA with honors from Amherst College.
